Recently my husband and I decided that I would stay home and raise our son. At first I objected for the simple fact that I have always worked. Moreover, the thought of only one income these days is almost unheard of. I thought it would be impossible, but with a little number crunching it was definitely possible. There would be a lot of tightening up to do a little less going out for dinner and a lot more cooking but definitely do able!!
My next concern was that I am just not a domesticated wife!! I would put off the laundry and the dishes for as long as possible, not because I did not want to do it but more because I was so exhausted. After coming home from a 9-5 job that gives someone white hairs to then pick up my son up from my moms, and spend quality time with him and my husband if he was off from work. It was exhausting just to that point. Then to cook and clean, do laundry and all the other things in the house with a smile! Like in the words of Uncle Tony FUGGETABOUTIT!!
Well, in the end I love to be home, little by little I am working on my cooking skills but more importantly I am able to be with my baby! The hardest and most rewarding job there is being a MOM.
